What can we say? Fall at the beach is our favorite time of year. (Shh! Don’t tell summer.) The breezes are cool but the Gulf’s still warm, and you know we love college football Saturdays!
Come celebrate your fall break at the beach and let Vacayzen help you out with all your beach gear and more. We’re open year-round and excited to serve you and help make your trip a little easier. As always, we’ve got free delivery and pick-up on all rental bikes, paddleboards, coolers, umbrellas, strollers, cribs… you name it! Save some room in the car on the way down and let us know what you need!
5 Reasons to Love Fall at the Beach:
The best sunsets. The earth’s tilt in fall makes for sunsets over the Gulf, and there’s nothing better than watching that pink and orange blaze across the sky when it dips below the horizon. It’s a great reason to have a bonfire on the beach! (Not that you need an excuse.)
It’s less crowded. We love summer, but we know it can be a little hectic around the beach. Things relax a little more in the fall, so you can, too.
Great events. Concerts, food festivals, you name it… From Panama City Beach to Fort Walton Beach, there are awesome events going on almost every weekend.
Football! Whether you’re into the NCAA, the NFL, or both, you’ll find your fellow fans here. Grab a seat at almost any of your favorite local watering holes and catch the big game with locals and visitors alike.
Biking. Hop on your 30A rental bike, because you could not ask for better cruising weather! The sweltering heat of summer is gone and you’ll love taking a ride down 30A’s trails to Seaside, Rosemary Beach, or maybe for a delicious handmade popsicle or coffee at Pop Stop and Grove Bros in Seagrove Beach!
There are plenty more reasons to love fall at the beach, but we’ll let you come see for yourself. Just give us a call or e-mail this fall or winter season for all your beach gear, bikes, and baby gear rentals!
Warm Up or Cool Down at Grove Bros Coffee and Pop Stop!
If you’ve stopped by Vacayzen in Seagrove Beach on 30A, you might have noticed the brightly colored patio furniture and giant popsicles on the shop to your right—the 30A Pop Stop! We’re proud to offer delicious handmade popsicles in fruity flavors such as pineapple and watermelon, creamy dessert flavors like blueberry cheesecake and cookies ’n’ cream, and seasonal flavors such as eggnog and salted caramel. What a tasty way to wind down from a bike ride or to take with you for a walk along the beach! Stop in to see what’s poppin’ today.
We know how it is when you just need your coffee fix, too, so that’s why we opened Grove Bros coffee shop inside Pop Stop in Seagrove Beach! Stop in for your cup of java or coffee drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, chai teas, and more. (Come get your pumpkin spice fix this fall!) Avoid the long lines and parking trouble at other area cafes. Grove Bros has a full-service espresso bar and professional baristas to make your drinks just the way you like them. Grab a drink on the go or sit on the patio and enjoy a chat with friends, relax with a book, or study—free Wi-Fi is available upon request of the password.
Our coffee is fair trade and organic. Stop in for your morning pick-me-up or after a jog down the beach. We also have snacks like granola, trail mix, nuts, pretzels, and a whole lot more! Also available are 30A and Seagrove souvenirs. Our friendly local staffers are excited to help you cool down with a pop, warm up with your favorite coffee or tea, or just take a look around and say hello.
You probably know that the new favorite pastime for water sport adventures is stand-up paddleboarding. At Vacayzen, we’ve got the paddleboard rentals to keep the whole family covered from Panama City Beach to Fort Walton Beach, and everywhere in between! While many enjoy paddling or even fishing from their boards in the Gulf of Mexico, sometimes the water can be a little choppy for beginners who might need to practice on a smoother surface. We’ve put together a list of 5 Places to Paddleboard in Northwest Florida for paddlers of all ages and skill levels!
Grayton Beach State Park
If you’re staying near or on Highway 30-A in South Walton, a trip to Grayton Beach State Park is definitely a good idea whether you’re paddleboarding or not. But if you are, grab your boards and head out to practice in 30-A’s famous Western Lake! The park entrance just east of Grayton Beach is a good place to go (note the $2 parking charge) to drop your board in on one of the area’s most scenic coastal dune lakes. You can paddle all the way to the beach or explore the wilder side amid the pines and growth of the park. You can also launch from the boat ramp just east of Red Bar, or head straight to the beach and test your skills in the Gulf.
Crab Island
Definitely one of Destin’s most popular hangouts, Crab Island is a sandbar in the Choctawhatchee Bay just north of Destin’s East Pass by the Harbor. A great launching area is directly under the Marler Bridge (East Pass) on the western end, and then it’s just a short paddle to the action at Crab Island! Due to high boating traffic and often many people wading in the warm waters, this is a spot better suited to advanced paddleboarders.
Hogtown Bayou – Santa Rosa Beach
Launch from the Cessna Landing docks just off Highway 393 north in Santa Rosa Beach and explore this little bayou or take a longer paddle right out to the Choctawhatchee Bay! With tons of inlets and beautiful homes to view from the water, it’s a peaceful ride with calm waters. Be sure to look to the west near the day’s end, because sunsets from Hogtown Bayou are beautiful!
St. Andrews State Park
For our Panama City Beach visitors, escape the high traffic and busy Gulf waters with a trip to beautiful St. Andrews State Park. The park boasts lakes that are great practice, or take a ride on the Shell Island Shuttle and explore. Head north from the kayak launch and check out Alligator Point!
Santa Rosa Sound
On the western end of our area lie Okaloosa Island and the serene Santa Rosa Sound. With miles of nearly deserted beaches, Okaloosa Island is a great spot for some R&R, or on the north side of the island, take a paddle around the sound. Maybe even try some SUP Yoga!
Don’t forget that Vacayzen is open all year and always includes free delivery and pickup for all beach gear rentals, paddleboards, kayaks, baby gear, and more!
Visit our Beach Rentals page for all paddleboard rentals or give us a call to reserve yours!
We might not have waves like Oahu, but that doesn’t mean you can’t hang ten in the Gulf of Mexico! From stand-up paddleboarding and surfing to skimboarding and boogie boarding, we’ve got all the 30A board rentals you need at Vacayzen!
Stand-Up Paddleboards
By far one of the most popular activities in the 30A, Destin, Panama City Beach, and Okaloosa Island areas, stand-up paddleboarding, or SUP, is a unique boarding experience that’s also a great workout! For beginners, we recommend paddleboarding in South Walton on one of its rare coastal dune lakes, where the water is smooth and you can get used to the board. For advanced paddleboarders, take your 30A paddleboard rental out in the Gulf for an adventure in the surf! SUP boards are also great for fishing, sightseeing, and racing during your perfect beach vacation. Our stand-up paddleboard rentals come with a paddle, a leash, bungee cords, and a lock.
This is the boarding experience for all ages to enjoy. Body boards or boogie boards are great for the whole family and fun in the Gulf of Mexico anytime. Take your 30A boogie board rental out for a spin by lying on your stomach on the board and catching the crest of a wave. Riding in to shore is a blast! Our high-quality Wave Skater boards are sturdy and won’t break in half or sink. Rent boogie boards for your 30A or Destin beach vacation and race your friends to the sand!
Tired of those cheap wooden skimboards that break, leave splinters, or just don’t live up to the hype? Our Zap fiberglass skimboards are built for performance! Still great for all skill levels, these skimboards provide a more stable platform for zipping across the tide or getting some air with more advanced tricks. All our 30A skimboard rentals include a rear deck pad and wax for traction.

You’ve found the perfect vacation home or condo in Panama City Beach, South Walton / 30A, or Destin, and now it’s time to have some fun in the sun! Once your bike rentals and other awesome beach gear have been delivered to your place by Vacayzen, it’s time to hop on those bikes and explore with the family! If you’re looking for something fresh and fun to do this summer, take a ride over to some of the many fantastic summer farmers markets happening all across the area. Most of them are set up weekly with local vendors selling fresh produce and food items, handmade arts, crafts, and jewelry, and providing live music and kids’ activities such as face painting or games. Check out some of the area’s best farmers markets!
All new to the area this year, Market Fest at Laketown Wharf takes place Mondays and Fridays from 10 AM until 9 PM on the Boardwalk at Laketown Wharf Resort on Thomas Drive. Market Fest is a family-friendly activity that combines a fun, entertaining atmosphere with great local products. It is free and open to the public and will include more than 40 vendors offering fresh produce, arts and crafts, jewelry, food items, music, children’s activities and more. And you won’t want to miss the nightly fountain and lights show on the lake!
Sundays Year-Round, Thursdays Memorial Day–Labor Day
Up and down Scenic Highway 30A, take a cruise on your 30A rental bikes and find some of the best local farmers markets! The one in Rosemary Beach’s town center on the western end of 30A is a must-go. Get there early to enjoy the best selection of fresh-from-the-farm greens, vegetables, and fruits. Grab a couple jars of local honey or organic almond and cashew butter products to take back home to your friends. The market in Rosemary Beach takes place every Sunday and Thursday from 9 AM until 1 PM.
Saturdays Year-Round, Tuesdays Memorial Day–Labor Day
Coast along on your bike until you see the iconic Seaside Post Office and Coleman Pavilion pointing you to the shimmering Gulf of Mexico. But before you hit the sand, take a stroll every Saturday and Tuesday this summer from 8 AM to noon through the Seaside Farmers Market in Central Square. With artisan breads and cheeses, fresh garden items, delicious pasties and gyros, and even gourmet dog treats, there’s something for everyone.
The beautiful gardens of WaterColor are host to the WaterColor Coastal Farmers’ Market on Sundays and Thursdays from 9 AM to 2 PM each week, so stop on by! Pro tip—grab an amazingly delicious crepe from Creative Crepes, with your choice of fillings from fresh fruit, peanut butter, Nutella, meats and cheeses, and more. Enjoy it while you walk along the cobbled street and explore stalls of artisan foods and products such as jewelry, pottery, paintings, and more.
Saturdays Year-Round, Wednesdays Memorial Day–Labor Day
Sandestin’s Grand Boulevard Town Center is home to many great shops and events. Stop by every Saturday and Wednesday this summer from 9 AM to 1 PM for all the great local products, food items, and fun activities for the whole family! Bring a blanket and have a picnic from your buys, or stop by for a healthy snack before you see a movie at the Grand Blvd 10 theatre.
